6 April 2023: Today, the unsigned all-female folk band Iris & Steel announce plans to play at Latitude Festival 2023 on Sunday 23 July, after being personally invited to perform by BRIT-Award winning, multi-platinum selling solo artist George Ezra.
They will form part of George Ezra’s specially curated line-up for The Alcove alongside two other artists – the stage billed by Latitude as discovering the stars of tomorrow. The show will mark their first major festival appearance.
Speaking about the news, Iris & Steel, said: “We are over the moon – to be on the line-up of one of the UK's most prestigious festivals alongside many of our musical heroes is a dream come true. As an unsigned band with 100 monthly listeners on Spotify we still can’t quite believe George Ezra stumbled across our music – it is mind-blowing. It shows anyone could be listening if you put yourself out there. We can’t thank George enough for taking a chance on us - the countdown to 23 July is on!”
